Sounds like you enjoyed Budapest as much as Mira, Alex and I did! I felt a connection to this city… and felt very comfortable there.. wouldn’t mind living there myself… It’s true about money.. the country is not doing well economically.. and the change to the euro would absolutely CRASH their economy!! They’re waiting a few more years to introduce the euro.. but I wonder how they will survive if they do… It will inflate everything.. and how the heck will people be able to afford living???
I think they must get a lot of tourists… b/c there were a lot of tourists there both times I visited.. I loved everything about it..
esp. the architecture… Oh.. except for the “suspicious” areas in town.. that did make me feel uncomfortable, actually…
