Destination Europe

Since I was a child, I dreamt of visiting Schloss Neuschwanstein (even though I could never pronounce the name :) ). I finally made the trip last year and wasn’t disappointed (shame about the weather though). A true fairytale castle!

Came across your blog. Wow, this is beautiful!

    Where is it exactly?

It’s in Germany, near the Austrian border, not far from Munich. It’s a little bit out of the way but well worth the effort, imo :)

I aslo went there a couple of years ago and was blown away by its setting and fairytale look. What an incredible location for your dream castle.

Did you go inside? I was a bit rushed and didn’t have time to do the tour. I’ll be heading back that way early next year so was wondering if it would be worth a more thorough visit.

Another picturesque castle in southern Germany worth visiting is Hollernzollern…I actually got engaged in one of the towers there. Give yourself some time to walk up the mountain and pay for the tour to make the trip worth it.
